Solid grades are also widely used as plasticizers in conjunction with film-forming polymers. The presence of polyethylene glycols in film coats, especially of liquid grades, tends to increase their water permeability and may reduce protection against low pH in enteric-coating films. Polyethylene glycols are useful as plasticizers in microencapsulated products to avoid rupture of the coating film when the microcapsules are compressed into tablets.

CEKOL 20000 CELLULOSE GUM

is a highly purified Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose(NaCMC), based on sustainably sourced cellulose. CEKOL 20000 is a versatile additive due to its ability to retain water, thicken liquids, regulate flow properties, suspend and stabilize dispersion and act as a film forming agent.

SYLOID® 244 FP meets the requirements of the monograph for silicon dioxide as stated in the latest USP/NF and Japanese Pharmaceutical Excipients(JPE) editions. The use of fumed silica as an excipient ingredient for pharmaceutical formulations, particularly in tablets and as a carrier for liquids is well known. However, compared with fumed silica, SYLOID® 244 FP silica is larger in particle size and has a higher density. This translates into a product that is much less dusty than fumed and is easier to handle and to incorporate into your formulation.

C-A-P CELLULOSE ESTER (PELLETS) (Cellulose Acetate Phthalate, NF) enteric coating material is a pH-sensitive cellulose derivative designed for coating pharmaceutical tablets, capsules or granules. It may also be used as a matrix material in solid dose forms. C-A-P enteric coating material withstands prolonged contact with acidic gastric fluids, but it dissolves readily in the mildly acidic to neutral environment of the small intestine. It can be applied to tablets, capsules or granules from solutions of organic solvents. C-A-P meets USP and NF specifications and is available in powder and pellet form.
