Beckocoat PU 428 has also proved an ideal vehicle for coating sports articles like spears, bowling pins, golf balls, bats, hockey sticks, tennis rackets, etc. In exterior use, Beckocoat PU 428 will lose gloss and will yellow. Weather resistance and gloss retention can be enhanced through coemploying alkyd resins like VIALKYD AR 408.

SETATHANE D 1150 is applied in the formulation of tough-elastic coatings. It is used in combination with other polyols such as SETATHANE D 1145, 1155 and crosslinked with Desmodur® VL, SETATHANE D 1150 is suitable for use in the formulation of two-component coatings. SETATHANE D E 2767 is applied in combination with aromatic polyisocyanates based on diphenylmethane diisocyanate as binder for solvent-free two-component polyurethane coatings with high chemical resistance for concrete and other porous substrates, fillers, sealing compounds and synthetic resin mortars. SETATHANE D E 2767 is suitable for the formulation of coatings, mortars and sealers with high chemical resistance. Coatings formulated with SETATHANE D E 2767 generally exhibit outstanding resistance to organic and inorganic acids, alkalis and solvents. Over-cross linking of 50 % and more is usual. This allows a wide-ranging variation in flow and chemical resistance. To ensure blister-free curing, SETATHANE D E 2767 requires the addition of hydrated lime in accordance with DIN EN 12 518 (or cement if necessary) as a CO2 scavenger. In certain cases where the film thickness is less than 100 μm, there is no need to add hydrated lime.
