HALOX® 580 is a sustainable, ultra-low VOC (<0.5%), bio-based liquid corrosion inhibitor designed for protection of water-based, solvent-based, high solids, 100% solids paints, direct-to-metal (DTM) coatings. It is suitable for thin-film coatings, 1K acrylic emulsions, 2K epoxies, water reducible alkyds, 2K polyurethanes, alkyds, urethane alkyds, etc. With 50% bio-content, HALOX® 580 provides a cost-effective, environmentally friendly solution for corrosion protection while maintaining formulation flexibility, as it can be post-added or incorporated during the letdown phase.
HALOX® 580 is a clean-label inhibitor, free from heavy metals, APEO, and HAPS, making it non-hazardous for shipping and transportation, ultimately reducing costs and regulatory concerns. Engineered for both waterborne and solvent-borne paints, HALOX® 580 enhances adhesion and water resistance, minimizing osmotic blistering while maintaining good shelf stability. Its organophosphate and bio-based solvent carrier provides a synergistic boost to traditional anticorrosive pigments, improving overall coating performance. Non-flammable and with minimal gloss impact, it is an ideal choice for high-solids primers, topcoats, and eco-label-compliant coatings across various resin systems, including acrylic, epoxy, urethane, and alkyds.
HALOX® 680 is an organic ion exchange inhibitor designed as a smart corrosion inhibitor that is released on demand to enhance coating performance. It is a cost-competitive, zero-VOC, fine-milled powder that acts as a synergist with other anticorrosive pigments such as Zinc Phosphate, Z-PLEX 111, SZP-391, and HALOX® 430. By integrating into the organic matrix, HALOX® 680 improves coating adhesion and reduces cathodic delamination (undercutting at the scribe). Additionally, it can be post-added to most solvent-based paints for formulation flexibility.
Compatible with solvent-borne, high solids, and powder coatings, HALOX® 680 is also suitable for water-borne coatings with proper pH adjustment due to its acidic nature. It enables reduced Zinc Phosphate loadings in anticorrosive primers while maintaining effectiveness. With non-flammable properties, it is ideal for solvent-borne primers, DTM alkyds, epoxies, urethanes, high solids and 100% solids epoxies, powder coatings, and coil coatings. It can also be formulated into semi-gloss paints, water-borne epoxies, and acrylics.
Eversorb® AQ4 is a liquid type hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) for waterborne coatings. It prolongs lifetime of coatings and paints under outdoor exposure. Eversorb® AQ4 can be used in wide varieties of pigmented waterborne coating system. It recommended for industrial, automotive, wood, plastics and building coatings particularly
MINEX® ST A100 (particle size 4) is a surface-treated nepheline syenite (NS) that is easily dispersed in a wide range of reactive resin systems. It is designed to provide superior performance in waterborne, solvent-based, 100% solids, and powder epoxy coatings, as well as phenolic resins and polysulfide adhesives. It also provides good performance in 2K waterborne polyurethane, 1K self-crosslinking acrylics, and waterborne polyurethane dispersions. Ideal end-use coatings applications for MINEX® ST A100 (particle size 4) include specialty and high-end reactive architectural, protective, general industrial, floor, powder, wood, and aerospace coatings.
MINEX® ST is available in three particle sizes—4, 7, and 10—and two functional treatments: A100 and OV100. It offers similar optics, handling, gloss, and color acceptance as the equivalent MINEX grades, while delivering improved dispersion and higher loading capacity in select systems—enabling cost savings and reduced VOC content.
MINEX® ST micronized functional fillers and extenders are proven performance enhancers across a broad range of paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and inks. Select surface treatments were developed to further enhance chemical and stain resistance, washability, adhesion, weatherability, optical clarity, color retention in tinted systems, abrasion resistance, and tensile strength—by compatibilizing the mineral surface with the host binder systems and reactive chemistries.
MINEX and MINEX ST functional fillers are produced from nepheline syenite—a naturally occurring, silica-deficient, sodium-potassium alumina silicate. Automated scanning electron microscopy confirms they contain less than 0.1% crystalline silica, with no detectable free crystalline silica in the mineral complex. All MINEX ST grades are processed and sized in strict adherence to Covia’s QIPSM quality assurance programs, ensuring consistently uniform chemistries, tight particle size distributions, and controlled top sizes for reliable performance.
MINEX® ST A100 (particle size 7) is a surface-treated nepheline syenite (NS) that is easily dispersed in a wide range of reactive resin systems.
