    SILFOAM® SD 169 is an anhydrous, self-dispersing silicone antifoam concentrate (INCI: Dimethicone (and) Polydimethylsiloxane) designed for use in liquid detergents, cleaners, and polymer dispersions. Its chemical structure allows it to effectively regulate foam in surfactant-based systems, with notably improved alkali resistance and sustained antifoam activity over time. In polymer dispersions, it shows good film compatibility and remains effective even at elevated storage temperatures, making it well suited for construction dispersions, masonry paints, and adhesives. SILFOAM® SD 169 is easy to process — it disperses without high shear and is simply stirred into the formulation at the end of production. It offers home care and industrial formulation teams a practical, high-performing foam control solution with broad compatibility.
