Cosphaderm® Hexiol is a pure, transparent and colorless glycol. Two vicinal OH-groups and a short carbon chain allow unlimited water-solubility. This property is strongly relevant to its most common cosmetic use as a moisturizer and humectant for both skin care and hair care formulations. Static light scattering experiments have shown that Cosphaderm® Hexiol can also be used to stabilize o/w emulsions by droplet size reduction. Another core property of 1,2-hexanediol is its pH-independent antimicrobial activity. It further shows remarkable synergistic effects in combination with other antimicrobial substances, making it possible to minimize the total amount of combined preserving agents.

Cosphaderm® T-70 NON GMO ECO CC is a blend that is both COSMOS certified and NATRUE compliant. It consists of organic sunflower oil and tocopherols derived from non-GMO plant sources. The blend contains at least 70% tocopherol, with particularly high levels of the beta, gamma and delta isoforms. These isoforms are excellent natural antioxidants and protect sensitive oil and fat components from oxidation. In addition, Cosphaderm® T-70 NON GMO ECO CC can improve the stability of cosmetic formulations in terms of discoloration and odor, which contributes to a longer shelf life.

Cosphaderm® X 7 is a natural, NON GMO and vegan xanthan gum produced by fermentation of glucose or sucrose by the bacterium Xanthomonas campestris. The heteropolysaccharide complies with food as well as pharma requirements and is used as a thickening agent, providing a high viscosity yield and great skin feeling. It does not impact the taste, color or odor of the product. Cosphaderm® X 7 efficiently stabilizes cosmetic o/w-emulsions by preventing fusion of oil droplets and its solutions are tolerant against salts, acids, heat and ethanol.

Cosphaderm® Sodium Hyaluronate is the sodium salt of medium molecular weight hyaluronic acid produced by all-natural fermentation and physical purification processes. In human tissue, hyaluronic acid is an essential part of the extracellular matrix. It binds water and serves as a natural humectant and anti-aging ingredient for the skin, guaranteeing its elasticity and moisture retention. Due to its medium molecular weight of approximately 1500 to 1800 kDa, Cosphaderm Sodium Hyaluronate has wrinkle filling, viscosity increasing and anti-inflammatory properties. It cannot penetrate deeper skin layers but minimizes the appearance of wrinkles by forming a moisturizing film on the skin surface for an instant anti-aging effect.
